Synopsis

The year is 2020 and the Sun is threatening to destroy everything within its blast radius. Solar Flares are continually firing off, threatening neighbouring life as a precursor to wholesale doom.

An alliance of the planet's best and brightest have put into place a decades long international project to block the Solar Flares hoping to contain the inevitable flashpoint and buy our planet enough time to evacuate. Consequently, an infeasibly large Orbiter has been deployed and must shield the solar system from the violent Solar Flares.

That's just science.

Controls

Space - start game and restart game

A - Rotates anti-clockwise.

D - Rotates clockwise.

Aim

Keep knocking back the solar flares to gain as high a score as possible, but watch out! As time goes on and things heat up, you'll soon find that the solar flares are coming faster and faster! You get three misses, and after that the game end. Be sure to comment your highest score in the comments!

Cute graphics. Good work.

Thank you for playing. We really appreciate that.

Nice! I sometimes got mixed up with which direction was which, but noticed later the A and D were under the platform as well, which helped. Slick presentation, nice aesthetic

Thanks for playing and providing feedback.

I think the big A and D buttons are for the mobile version  that for some reason are activated in the browser (or so I'm told). Might be better communication if made them clockwise and counter-clockwise?

In any case, thanks again

Somebody watches Vimlark! haha. Nice game, it looks really polished especially with the given timeframe!

Thanks for playing.

We really benefitted from having two of on the game to achieve a decent level of graphical polish.

Also, I am reliably informed that Vimlark copied us (I'm just the artist, but the code guy told me you'd know what this means)

I can emphatically say that Vimlark did not in fact copy us.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly inspired by his solo pong game, although I hoped this would be just different enough to slip by unnoticed ;) Thank you so much for playing the game however, I'm super pleased with how it went down!

He definitely copied us
